This Trust Website has been designed to comply with a number of Web Browsers, but it is recommended that this site is viewed with the latest version of Internet Explorer or the latest version of Firefox.

Screen Resolutions

The North East Wales NHS Trust Website was originally designed to comply with both screen resolutions of 800x600 and 1024x768. The website can be clearly viewed in both, however it is recommended that the North East Wales NHS Trust Website is best viewed in 1024x768. The Website can also be viewed in screen resolutions higher than 1024x768.

To change you screen resolution all you have to do is follow these simple steps;

  • Click onto the desktop of your PC, then right mouse click on the desktop.
  • A list will appear which will have the option properties at the bottom. Choose this option and click to open the properties.
  • The Display Properties Settings will appear and a slider will be visible under the heading Screen Resolution.
  • Move the slider to the preferred screen resolution size which will be 1024x768 then click on OK. An option may appear asking if you wish to keep these settings. Click ok on this option.
  • Your Screen Resolution will now be at the optimum viewing capability for the North East Wales NHS Trust Website.

Changing Font Size

If you are having trouble viewing any web pages belonging to the North East Wales NHS Trust you can change the font size through your web browser with these simple steps;

Internet Explorer

  • Click on the VIEW option at the top of the Internet Explorer Browser, then choose TEXT SIZE from the list.

Visual Design

  • This site primarily uses Cascading Style Sheets for visual layout. This complies with the W3C CSS Guidelines.
  • This site complies with the NHS Identity Guidelines for Websites which states the uses of NHS web-safe colour palette. (eg white background, black text)
  • The typeface specified in these guidelines is Arial so that it is easy and clear to read text on screen.
  • The Standard Text Size is at least 12pt which complies with these guidelines
  • All images throughout the website will also contain ALT text. This is descriptive text which appears when an image can not be displayed.
